The new children's hospital belongs to the whole region, so what better name to sum up the pride all us northerners can take in knowing that this fantastic medical landmark is ours?

The Great North is a term that is already well known and much loved in the region. Calling it The Great North Children's Hospital will give it a more than worthy name to build upon the great reputation we already have for the amazing work our doctors, nurses and many other staff do every day.
